Sundarbans is a mangrove area in the delta formed by the confluence of the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna Rivers in the Bay of Bengal. It spans the area from the Hooghly River in India‘s state of West Bengal to the Baleswar River in Bangladesh‘s division of Khulna. It comprises closed and open mangrove forests, land used for agricultural purpose, mudflats and barren land, and is intersected by multiple tidal streams and channels. Four protected areas in the Sundarbans are enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, viz. Sundarbans National Park, Sundarbans West, Sundarbans South and Sundarbans East Wildlife Sanctuaries.[3]
Day - 1 : Kolkata Pickup- Sunderban Sightseeing
Early morning pick Up from Kolkata City/Station/Airport & Transfer to GothKhali. Arrival at GothKhali departure by Boat for Sunderban Island. Arrival at Sunderban check-in to your hotel & take Lunch. After Lunch departure by boat for Sajnekhali Watch Tower viewing Wild life.Return to Hotel. Evening free at leisure. Night stay at hotel.
Day - 2 : Sunderban SightSeeing
After breakfast a thrilling Boat Cruise inside creeks and dense forest (or breakfast on boat during cruise) through numerous rivers while visiting Do-banki Watch Tower where the canopy walk inside the forest sends chills down your body (experience the life in which caged animals live in, while getting an all around view of the forest). Also visit the Spotted Deer Rehabilitation Centre. After which we cruise through Matla – Sea Face (the point from where Bay of Bengal can be seen) –Cruising back through the 5 river junction - to Pitchkhali. (Lunch on Boat during Cruise). Evening back to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Night stay at hotel.
Day - 3 : Sunderban Sightseeing & Kolkata Drop
After breakfast Visit to Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower and Cruise through Rivers and Narrow Creeks of Pitchkhali- Sarakhkhali-Sudhanokhali- Bonobibi Dharani (narrow creek) and visit the Watch-Tower followed by a cruise around the Islands of the Sunderban Tiger Project Area, Enjoy a Panoramic View from Watch Tower. After lunch (Lunch on Boat during Cruise) departure for GothKhali by Boat. Arrival at GothKhali & Departure for Kolkata by Car.
